Mara studied English and Film Studies at Wesleyan University, where she won several prizes for academic excellence and graduated with honors. Originally from San Francisco, she moved to LA after college because she couldn’t bear to be away from California any longer. She loves sharing her passion for learning with her students and strives to make them feel confident in their own abilities. Whether she’s breaking down essay structure or explaining a difficult math concept, her focus is on empowering her students with the skills they need to excel. When she’s not tutoring, she’s probably hiking in Griffith Park, writing a folk song, or baking sourdough.
