Alex S.
Greetings! My name is Alexander Stern, and I’m a dual Master’s student in Transportation Engineering and City Planning at the University of California, Berkeley. At Berkeley, I’ve worked as a teaching assistant, helping students from a range of backgrounds master challenging material through clear explanations, creative approaches, and thoughtful feedback. I also conduct quantitative research on transportation access to healthcare and education, and I serve as an ambassador with the Community-Engaged Education (CEE²) program, introducing high school students to core civil engineering and urban planning concepts.
I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago in Urban and Environmental Studies, graduating summa cum laude. In my free time, you can catch me onstage performing improv, screen-printing at the art studio, or deep in a cartography passion project. I look forward to getting to know you and helping discover new ways to approach and solve problems!
