I grew up in Petaluma, California. I’ve always been curious and a tinkerer. As the story goes, my dad would come home from work to find his tools spread across the driveway and front yard. Often, I would take things apart shortly after getting them… putting them back together was always a good challenge. As I ventured into high school, I enjoyed my wide variety of coursework. Perpetually fascinated by building things and how they worked, I attended Harvey Mudd College (Claremont, CA), where I focused on embedded systems engineering.
Upon graduating, I ventured north and worked at Apple. Nudged by the pandemic and carried by my entrepreneurial spirit, I left Apple and founded an insect agriculture company. Valorizing organic waste into insect protein and soil amendment was an adventure to say the least. With my significant other moving to Culver City, I decided to shut down the insect operation. My interests are quite broad; here are some things I enjoy: my dog, board games, building things, learning, teaching others, food, and playing ice hockey.
